Stingray City (Tristan Hunt and the Sea Guardians)
Tristan and his friends are teenagers with aquatic superpowers. Tristan can talk to sharks. Rosina has slime. They all have powers of sea creatures. (I’d like camouflage power.) This is the third book in the series. (I wonder if they get new powers every story. They get a new power: bioluminescence.) Stingrays are disappearing. The kids try to talk to the animals. The sharks are doing a stakeout. Three of the kids go with the sharks and get sucked into a boat. Will they save the stingrays? Will they escape the boat? Read the book to find out.
The book is funny and has lots of animals in it. I like that, but I didn’t like when the animals got hurt. Ozdale was my favorite character, because he’s really funny and clueless. Some of his inventions don’t work, but I like how he doesn’t give up – and he doesn’t make the same mistake as last time. I learned Stingray City is real. The author goes to where she writes about. I didn’t know tiger sharks have eaten a bag of potatoes. They eat a lot of stuff. People who like superheroes, sea creatures, and the ocean would like this book.
