Jamie Peterson has a problem. That problem is a little thing called prom, which is a problem every high school senior has. But it’s especially troublesome when you still need a date and are gay. Even more of a problem since the boy he likes is his straight best friend, Mason. Luckily for Jamie, the girls in his art class (especially Eden and Challis, who have their own relationship drama) have decided to help him. Challis creates a comic strip with characters that look a bit like Jamie and Mason, but the school won’t publish it because it has gay characters. When Mason goes to prom with a girl named Bahti, Eden agrees to go with Jamie. Jamie has the support of family and friends, but can he summon the courage to actually come out and risk his best friendship?
It is an awesome book and I loved it, and I’m sure my fellow yaoi fans will too. This book features good friends, a caring family, and a great love story. I also really liked how art was a part of resolving the problem.
