Miss Grimm lives in a dark place. She seems mad, mean, and rude. Her house is gray and black, and there are spiderwebs and broken windows. She isn’t happy at all. Then Mr. Happy moves in next door. His house is colorful, and he is happy and nice. He is nice to everyone, and always says hello to the sun and he doesn’t shoo away the moon, like Miss Grimm does. Mr. Happy plants lots of plants in his yard, and one day he plants big plants that grow bigger, bigger, bigger, into giant sunflowers. They grow over their houses and their houses grow together, and then Mr. Happy grabs Miss Grimm by the hand and Miss Grimm decides to change her name.

This story is really fun and the pictures are so cute. My favorite picture in this book is when Mr. Happy is calling the ladybugs, and so are the goat and the pig. And Miss Grimm is so surprised and doesn’t know what is happening! I like how her house gets more colorful and she gets nicer when she sees how Mr. Happy likes everything. Mr. Happy is really nice and then Miss Grimm starts to be nice too.
