Magnets Push, Magnets Pull
Magnets Push, Magnets Pull is a book full of information about magnets. Magnets are hard to learn about because you can’t always see magnetic force. We learn which metals are magnetic, how to tell the north and south side of a magnet, and how to make your own magnet out of a paper clip. It is best to read this book with magnets in hand because it asks you to check if your magnet sticks to coins, a fridge, or a car. It gives you some experiments to be able to see magnetic force or if different ends repel or attract. It also talks a bit about electromagnets.
I liked Magnets Push, Magnets Pull because you can take a magnet and follow along with the book, trying to see if different materials are magnetic. I really like trying to make two magnets that have the same pole stick together. No matter how hard you try, you can’t make them touch and can feel them push each other away. I didn’t know some rules with magnets, like don’t put a magnet near a computer, tv, or clock. I think this book would be good in a classroom if they are learning about magnets.
