Cooking Class: 57 Fun Recipes Kids Will Love to Make (and Eat!)
This is a cookbook made especially for kids, but kids who are old enough to have steady enough hands and hold a knife, and be careful around sharp and hot things. It’s great for kids because the recipes are simple–they don’t make exquisite things, but they do make tasty things! The recipe for Lemon Squares has only ten ingredients, and it’s one of the more complicated ones. Recipes are rated from one to three spoons. One means you can make it without cooking or cutting. Two spoons means there may be some cutting and chopping, and it is a way to try out new skills. Three means you will use sharp knives, the oven, or the stove top. It is called Cooking Class because it tells you what certain terms mean, like slice, chop, mince, peel, juice, and grate, and teaches you how to do them. The pictures are very helpful because they help you make sure what you made is like what they made. You can learn to make tortilla chips and salsa, your own flavored popcorn, omelets, and even granola bars! The Lettuce Roll-ups are delicious and so easy! Kids will love learning to cook from this wonderful cooking book!
