A Home for Mr. Emerson

Mr. Emerson had always wanted to be free and have a home that reminded him of all the good times in his life. So he built a house, and married, and had three children. All five of them lived quite contentedly in the house until the children moved away and had families of their own. Then, one morning, smoke started coming out from around the chimneys of the house, and Mr. Emerson realized it was a fire. His neighbors came and rescued most of the stuff from his house, and Mr. Emerson watched as his beloved house burned to the ground. Will Mr. Emerson ever be happy again? Read this book to find out what happens next.

I liked this book because the pictures were brightly colored and very clear about what everyone was doing. This book is a fun story about the trials in life and we can recover if given the time. I also liked this book because it seemed almost like I was in the book and in the place where it was happening. This book also makes you feel very sorry for Mr. Emerson because of what happened.
