Zilot & Other Important Rhymes

There are lots of poems in this book, poems that are silly and poems with some big words. This book is written by a family: a dad, son, and daughter. My favorite poem in this book is “Read the Label” because it was silly and funny. I thought this poem was the funniest of them all. Some of these poems remind me of Jack Prelutsky’s poems.

While I did not think these poems are as wacky, silly, or funny as Jack Prelutsky’s poems, I still enjoyed reading them. The art is silly and fits in well with the poems. I recommend this book to children who love poems, especially silly ones.
