Wolf Camp
Homer is a family dog who wants to go to camp to learn how to be a wolf. His family finally lets Homer go, so Homer boards the bus with other family dogs who go to Wolf Camp for a week. The dogs learned to track, howl and even hunt. They thought dinner tasted different since there was still hair on it. The dogs even had to sleep outside. When camp ended Homer got a certificate to show he was an honorary wolf. Homer went home and he could now howl like a wolf.
I liked Wolf Camp. It was a fun idea for a book and the illustrations made the book even funnier. I thought it was funny when it said the dogs were getting to know each other and the picture shows the dogs sniffing each other’s bottoms. I also thought it was funny that the dogs thought their fresh caught food tasted funny, since family dogs are used to eating bagged dog food. I think Wolf Camp would make a great read aloud book, and little kids will laugh at the pictures.
