Warren the 13th and the All-Seeing Eye
Warren the 13th and the All-Seeing Eye is about a bunch of people trying to find the All-Seeing Eye. I’d tell you what the All-Seeing Eye is, but, plot spoilers, lots of them in the whole book, so I won’t. But I will tell you that the book is excellent. Warren, the main character, is a child who does chores around the hotel his family owns. The hotel is dreary but intriguing because it’s full of riddles, which Warren must solve to find the All-Seeing Eye.
There are a lot of reasons the book is so good. The best part of the book is all the puzzles. If you like puzzles, you’ll enjoy this book. As for plot, Warren has an evil Aunt who adds some good complexity. I didn’t like her because she was so evil, but she made it interesting. And the book has an awesome plot twist you won’t see coming. Even the form of the book adds to its enjoyment. It’s larger than most books and filled with LOTS of red, gray and black illustrations that add to the dreary atmosphere, and the different fonts give it an old-fashioned feel. Read this book. It’s an especially good one.
