The Green Teen Cookbook
I tried several recipes from The Green Teen Cookbook and I loved every single one of them. The cookbook contains recipes for everyone’s taste. Not only can you learn about healthy eating you will also get information about farmer’s markets all over the country. My favorite part of the book was the equivalents table at the end of the book where US and metric measurements were compared to each other. Me being from Germany and with a lot of my grandma’s recipes using metric measurements I always had to deal with the mystery of how many milliliters are in a cup. The fair-trade and kitchen safety section of The Green Teen Cookbook also impressed me very much. I never expected learning so much different information by reading a cookbook. The biggest reason why I love this cookbook so much is the fact that every recipe is displayed with a picture of the dish and the teen cook. The layout and colors of this cookbook and the easy way of writing makes cooking recipes from the cookbook fun and easy. It truly is a cookbook for teens and preteens. No adult help will be necessary but I am sure mom or dad would enjoy this book as much as their teen chefs.
