When Molly has to volunteer to take the annual homeless people tally for Santa Monica, California, she doesn’t realize the experience will change her life. She finds Red, a homeless teenager, in one of the parks and decides to make it her Christmas mission to get Red home to her family before Christmas. All plans grind to a halt, however, as Molly learns more about Red and her past and has to conquer obstacles of her own in order to get Red home for Christmas. I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!! Not only is it a fast read, but I read it in three hours because I couldn’t put it down. It is written like poetry, which made me love it even more as it added more to the story. Molly is written to have serious panic attacks and it emphasizes her panic attacks and helps us relate to her more as the readers. We are also introduced to her lovable service dog, Pixel, who helps her get through her panic attacks, so this is a really good book for dog lovers! This is a must-read for the holiday season!
