Ready for School, Murphy?

This book is about a boy named Murphy who does not want to go to school. He pretends he’s sick. He claims he has a bug. It takes place in the morning after Murphy brushes his teeth. It takes place in his house with his dad. He says that he does not feel good. He imagines he’s in prison, he gets a shot in the butt, and that he’s a robot. There are pictures of ants in his bottoms, butter flies flying out of his belly, and bugs flying out of his mouth. On the first page, he’s imagining that evil eyes are looking at him from the bus. One picture he imagines he goes to school in his underwear! The story is told through short dialogue and colorful pictures. This book was written to make readers laugh.

This book would be good for beginners in reading. I liked this book because it was funny.
