Peanut Butter and Jellyfish
Peanut Butter is a seahorse. Jellyfish is a jellyfish. They are friends. They like to explore together. (I don’t think Jellyfish can swim at all. They don’t have eyes or a smile. It’s still a good story. Peanut Butter can swim – very slowly.) Crabby is a crab. He’s also called “Crabby” because he is mean. He tells Peanut Butter and Jellyfish “You guys swim like humans!” One day, Crabby gets caught in a trap. At first, Peanut Butter and Jellyfish don’t want to help. Then they change their minds. Peanut Butter uses his tail to open the door. Crabby can’t swim, so he doesn’t want to get out. He’s also scared of heights. Jellyfish unties the knot on the string holding the trap. The fisherman is pulling the cage up. Peanut Butter and Jellyfish carry the trap down to the ocean floor. Does the fisherman get them all? Read the book to find out what happens next. The pictures are good. They use good colors. I think littler kids and five-year-olds would like this book. It has a happy ending.
