Little Sister Rabbit and the Fox
Little Sister Rabbit looks out of her burrow at the bright, sunshiny day, and she is sure all the bad foxes have gone to bed. So she leaves her burrow to play. She hops up a hill and thinks her eyes, nose, and ears are tricking her because she senses a fox but thinks a fox cannot possibly still be awake in the middle of the day.
When the fox cub actually pops out of the bush, Little Sister Rabbit is so frightened that she cannot move. Finally, she scampers off, with the mean fox cub running closely behind her. He is very hungry and looking for a plump, juicy rabbit to eat! Will Little Sister Rabbit make it safely back to her family inside her cozy burrow?
I liked what the fox looked like in the pictures – he is sneaky and scary, but not too scary. I like the colors in the pictures, the animals’ expressions, and the detail in the pictures. Don’t worry, it was not too scary when the fox cub was chasing the rabbit!
