Li’l Rip Haywire Adventures: Escape from Camp Cooties
Rip Haywire is a crazy boy. He goes on adventures, like when he defeats the Yeti with Minecraft on his iPad. He seeks treasure with his dad. He has a dog named TNT. He gets sent to a girl camp. He wants to escape, but he also wants to find treasure. The Doofus Brothers are the bad guys. They want the treasure too. They are dumb. They call each other “Roofus.” The treasure is in a Native American pyramid that the campers are going to for a fieldtrip. Will the Doofus Brothers get the treasure? Will Rip like the camp? Read the book to find out. This book is a puzzle book, a graphic novel, and also a regular book. The puzzles are a word ladder, mazes, math, spot the difference, deciphering puzzles. There are lots of flashbacks in this book. They tell you Rip’s adventures and can help with the puzzles.
This book is funny and not for people who don’t like puzzles – like the Doofus Brothers. The pictures are nice. I love them! My favorite part is where Rip tries to do fishing and he falls in the water and blows up the boat.
