Here Comes Valentine Cat
Here Comes Valentine Cat is a book about a silly cat who hates Valentine’s Day! Cat has conversations with an unseen narrator. Cat recently got a new neighbor, Dog. He keeps throwing bones and balls over the fence. Cat gets frustrated. But it all works out in the end. My favorite part is when Cat thinks of ways to get rid of Dog. First, Cat thinks that dog would go away if Cat sent a lot of mean valentines. Then, Cat wants to build a rocket so dog could be on another planet. While Cat is scheming, a special note lands on Cat’s rocket that makes Cat have a change of heart.
The illustrations are drawn by Claudia Rueda. I think that these drawings are amazing. My dog, my brother, and I all like this book. I think this book is good for children ages 4-12 who enjoy animals. Reading this book makes me want to read Easter Cat, Santa Cat, and Tooth Fairy Cat. This book is super funny. I was curious the whole time.
