Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, Vol. 1
Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V is a book written by three writers! They are: Shin Yoshida, Naohito Miyoshi, and Masahiro Hikokubo. It is written in manga style, and the character Yuzu says that the reader is reading it like other books. In this book, I found the “Odd Eyes Phantom Dragon,” and cards can be found in these books. Phantom and Yuzu, the main characters, go to Syu Zo Duel School in the beginning. Phantom is really Reiji Akaba in disguise. Reiji is a nice guy, whereas Phantom is more fearsome. This is a counterpart of the TV shows Mix Master and Pokemon XYZ. They are completely different, though they all end with the Pokemon phrase “gotta catch ’em all.” My favorite part was when Yuzu forced Phantom (Reiji) to be her BFF. A favorite quote from this book is, “So he wants me to summon Odd Eyes?” and “Go get one, Poppo!” (Poppo sounds like one of my favorite Pokemon characters Popplio in a way—but without the “li.”) I think that kids like me who love Pokemon are going to enjoy the Yu-Gi-Oh universe, too!
