You Are Ready!: The World Is Waiting

This is a very short book. It is small like Hugs and Kisses for the Grouchy Ladybug, which I received as a gift, so I guess this would be a good gift book. It also reminds me of Oh, the Places You’ll Go!, except that the Dr. Seuss book has way more of a story and is for much older kids or even adults.

You Are Ready: The World Is Waiting has the beautiful pictures you’d expect to find in one of Eric Carle’s books. They are always nice to look at and some of the sayings on the pages are really nice, too. One that seems weird is “the world is scary.” Maybe it is, but all of the other pages are cheery, so maybe he could have just said “the world is full of surprises” because it still works with the “you’re ready” theme.

It’s a nice book, and if you’ve read all of his others, you wouldn’t want to miss this one.
