Gloria Rose has a seemingly perfect life as an influencer, but she’s also hiding a dark secret from her past. When her old partner-in-crime is arrested for art theft, Gloria knows that it’s only a matter of time before the authorities come for her. She knows she has to flee; she also wants to make sure her nieces don’t take the fall for her actions.

Willow and Sam are sisters, both down on their luck and reconciling with their pasts as well as each other. Willow, a talented musician, has had one too many failed albums, and Sam just can’t seem to keep her video game company afloat. As long-buried secrets and intense revelations come to light, the family will have to make choices between love and loss, family and freedom.

This book was okay, but it didn’t leave any lasting impression on me. The problem with the three major storylines was that I didn’t get a lot of depth from any of them, and there wasn’t a lot of emotion in it for me. I did like Sam and Willow’s relationship development, though. I will read other books from this author in the future!
