Wonder Woman at Super Hero High (DC Super Hero Girls)
Wonder Woman is an Amazonian warrior princess who lives on Paradise Island. She has been home schooled all her life but leaves the island to attend Super Hero High School, where it doesn’t matter who you are today, but what you can be tomorrow. At Super Hero High, she learns lessons not just in class, but about life including how to handle a room mate who uploads everything to social media and how to act with boys.
Wonder Woman at Super Hero High by Lisa Yee presents Wonder Woman as a little more quirky than you might have known her. She’s also younger than you’re used to seeing her or reading about her. Although the book is about a super hero, regular humans can relate to the situations she finds herself in and the lessons she has to learn. She’s young, but has her typical big super hero personality. She’s not fighting criminals in this story, but there’s still a lot of action.
This book is a fun, quick read and would be good for readers ages 9 to 14. It would be of more interest to girls than boys but not to someone who’s looking for a typical super hero action story.
