Description
Wish I Was a Baller by Amar Shah is a graphic novel based on his own real-life experience as a teen sports journalist. He was very persistent, and it paid off—he got to interview some of the most famous basketball players! The book shows what it was like for him to be a sports journalist in the 90s while going to high school.
My favorite part was when he interviewed Shaq and ended up on the cover of Sports Illustrated with him. That was super cool! He also met other big basketball stars, like Michael Jordan.
It was a good book. It had really cool graphics and fun pictures, but it’s not my favorite genre right now.
I think kids (ages 8-10) who love basketball or sports would really enjoy this book.
