Wingfeather Tales by Andrew Peterson is a collection of stories from the Wingfeather Saga that happen during and after the Great War. This book is about some characters from Wingfeather Saga and other people. Oskar N. Reteep is one of them. He was taking a special book that contained secrets and clues to treasures, wanting to trade it for a different book. There are many other characters since it is a set of unrelated stories. From rescuing the king to fighting for love, the book is full of adventure and danger. Keep in mind there are many different stories, so plots are not related. The author describes the characters so well that it is easy to imagine them and get to know them. The language flows very well and the story is written so well, that I felt like I was inside the book. There were some illustrations in the book, even a short comic book story. I like how the pictures went with the stories. Kids twelve and up who love imaginary creatures, adventure, peril, and thrill would enjoy this book. If you read other books by Andrew Peterson, Wingfeather Tales will not disappoint! I would definitely recommend this book because it was so much fun to read and some of the stories had life lessons. This was such a great book that I had trouble putting it down!
