Wildseed Witch (Book 1)
Hasani is a young YouTuber striving to find ways to grow her channel—and to get her divorced parents back together. Outside of becoming an influencer, Hasani doesn’t have any other aspirations… until a magical outburst brings an actual witch to her door, a witch who brings a whole new life with her.
Whisked away to a magical school in Louisiana, Hasani discovers she’s a Wildseed, a witch that comes from a family of non-witches. Catching up to her experienced peers is hard, but Hasani is determined to prove she can be a witch. Can Hasani become the witch she was always meant to be?
I like that this book incorporated Louisiana culture and combined it with more magical elements to create a unique setting! Watching Hasani thrive as a witch was charming and fun to read! Hasani’s character was not the easiest to love, but I liked her development in the book.
I felt that the author tried to force too many themes into one book, and I was regularly confused as to the story’s intended focus. Despite that, I enjoyed reading this story, and fans of magical school stories will enjoy this!
