What This Story Needs Is a Hush and a Shush (A Pig in a Wig Book)

We rated this book:

In this book, there is a pig that is getting ready for bed, and she is trying to go to sleep. All these other animals are in the house, and they want to go to bed, too. There is a dog, a cat, a cow, a rooster, a duck, a horse, and a donkey. But they are all super loud! The pig can’t go to sleep, so she says, “What this story needs is a hush and a shush!” That sends all the animals out to the barn. But then the pig feels lonely, so she goes out to the barn with everyone else.

This is a cute book for really young children. It would make a good bedtime story. It has fun rhymes and cute and funny pictures. The funniest picture is where the pig is getting ready for bed because she is brushing her teeth and wearing a wig and pajamas! The pig gets upset, but then she feels bad for getting upset and it is good that she decides she wants to be with everyone in the barn. Children will like reading this book before they go to bed.
