Myron is autistic, and he doesn’t like new things. So he’s not very happy when he goes to a new school, with new teachers, new students, and a new classroom. On his first day of school, he sees a mess in the kitchen. Someone stole all the morning snacks! Myron is determined to figure out the mystery. With his friend Hajrah, he searches for clues. The first two days he comes to school at the normal time, but at that time, the kitchen has already been partly cleaned up. So, he can’t search for clues. But on his third day, he decides to go to school early. He finally gets an untouched crime scene and finds some little tiny footprints. On the second day, Hajrah notices that a tree has been blown down. Are these clues related?

I like this book because it has fun pictures, and it is a mystery. You can figure out the mystery along with Myron and Hajrah. Myron and Hajrah make a good team because Hajrah is very jumpy and bouncy, but she helps Myron figure out new things about the school, and Myron is a good detective and helps Hajrah, too.
