Waterfire Saga, Book Four Sea Spell

A thrilling and satisfying end to an amazing saga. When I first read Deep Blue I just knew I found a winning series. Mermaids, in my opinion, are either a hit or miss. But Donnelly knocked it out of the park and then some. The fourth book starts off where Dark Tide left off; and boy was it an ending. Waiting for the next book was not easy. We get to follow all of our beloved characters we’ve grown to know and love. Will the merls finally get the happy ending they all so clearly deserve? There were some minor hiccups in terms of characters doing things that were “our of character” for them. I thought that maybe it was just the author adding dramatic effect into the story. If you’re a fan of strong female leads and amazing storylines that will take you away from this world, pick up this series. With the way it ended, there was a hint that there may be a spin-off series happening. I would be so down for more time in this world. It had it all: romance, action, and a sisterhood that celebrates what it means to be a friend.
