Wallace the Brave

This is a book of comic strips about Wallace, a kid. The comics are about things like school, going to the park, playing with friends, and hanging out with his family. Wallace has a little brother, Sterling. Spud is Wallace’s friend. He seems to have anxiety. The new girl at school is Amelia. I don’t like Amelia. She’s mean to Spud. The characters don’t feel good about school.

Wallace has a good imagination. He says the car is under the house because there’s a trapdoor in the living room so Dad can drop down into the car. The house is raised up because they live by a big body of water.

I like the illustrations. Wallace’s house is next to the sea, on an island. I like the seagulls. The mom is cool. She wants to cut a hole in the roof for the Christmas tree because it’s too big. Wallace and Amelia are reckless. My favorite comics have Dad in them. They are funnier usually.

Some of the comics aren’t easy to understand. Some of them made me laugh out loud. I like the Peanuts comics a little bit more than Wallace the Brave. I think grownups would like to read this book, too.
