Voyage of the Frostheart

Ash is an orphan living in Fira Stronghold, one of the last settlements still able to defend themselves against the Leviathans: Hideous, otherworldly creatures that lie in wait beneath the snow outside. With nothing but a mysterious lullaby, a magic power he didn’t know he had, and a couple of new friends, Ash sets out to find his parents.

I really, really like this book! It is post-apocalyptic, but they don’t go into details so it’s not depressing. It is so exciting and has plenty of cliffhangers. The creative descriptions and amazing illustrations really help bring it alive. It is the first book in a trilogy, and the ending will leave you longing for the next book. Overall, I think it is the start of an action-packed, hilarious and amazing new fantasy series. Read it. I insist.
