Voice Over!: Seiyu Academy, Vol. 1
Poor Hime Kino just wants to be a voice actress. With a name that literally means princess, you’d think she would be bursting with talent, but sadly, that isn’t the case. Hime has a voice so manly they call her Gorilla Princess. She is determined to show everybody she can be the voice actress she has always dreamed of and gets accepted into the Holly Academy high school. Most of her time is spent being made fun of, but she quickly figures out that instead of a girl, she has a beautiful voice of a boy and she uses it toward her advantage, even if that means pretending to be a boy.
This book is traditional Japanese style manga and reads right to left. The story is typical involving school, drama between the boys and girls and one person playing the role of the opposite sex. It is lighthearted and appropriate for all ages. Seeing as this is the first book in this series, there is surely going to be a lot more adventures to come and one to keep an eye on!
