Vendetta

This is such a wonderful take on the classic tale of Romeo and Juliet. Although it has a much different feel to it, I still enjoyed it very much. While looking for new books that retell old favorites, I found that Vendetta was up for review and I just knew I had to have it. I loved getting to know these characters; they’re mysterious and interesting. Sophie, the heroine, is set on living life normally after her father has been sent to prison. But, then five insanely good looking boys move into her town and shake things up a bit. Sophie is a bit of a rebel and I love it; her character is snarky and not like anything I had expected. When Nicoli and Sophie become involved, I’m on the edge of my seat in anticipation because I have no idea how everything is going to play out. His world is a dangerous one; after all, he’s part of a mob family. The story is full of dangerous situations, sweet, sweet forbidden romance, and a twist you won’t see coming from a mile away! For all you mobster fans, make sure you don’t miss out on this wonderful book full of complex characters and sizzling romance.
