It is the beginning of the school year, and Unicorn is super excited to go to school. Her friend goat was not very excited. When they get to school, Unicorn thinks that everyone will be obsessed with her, but they are more interested in other things, like rubber bands that look like things. So Unicorn decides that she must make herself extra special, and she changes her looks and changes her magic and thinks that being so extra will be the way for everyone to love her. But her plan backfires, and she makes everyone mad. Her friends have to teach her that she doesn’t have to change herself to be a good friend.

I really liked this book because it teaches you to be yourself and not change because you think that someone doesn’t like you. The beginning of school can be hard, but if you can be true to yourself, you can do well and make good friends who like you for who you are, even if you do love a lot of sparkles.
