Under Threat: An Album of Endangered Species is an incredibly informative book full of facts and sensational illustrations of endangered animals that need our help to be saved. In this book, you will learn about creatures from all over the world, from the seven continents to the oceans; these animals are facing extinction. The arresting illustrations designed for each animal on a stamp make this book a favorite for any child who loves animals. Author Martin Jenkins tells how each creature’s numbers are dwindling, and he tells how humans have created this problem for each species, but yet we are also capable to find solutions to save these animals and their habitats. Martin believes that the world would be a much poorer place without these animals and that it is worth saving them, versus finding out the effects without the animal. When an animal goes extinct, it upsets the natural balance in nature for producers and consumers. In this book, you will learn about animals such as Polar Bear, Panda, Sunda Pangolin, and, my personal favorite, Okapi. I believe all those who care about animals and our planet with love this wonderful, colorful book.
