Under the Same Sky

This rhyming picture book has a great message that although we may be as different as a lion and a bird, we all live under the same sky, wanting and feeling many of the same things. I particularly loved the creative cut outs, which reveal the repeating text. It’s a perfect bedtime story or could be used in a discussion about how although we look different, we want much the same thing.

The pictures use soothing colors and show adorable animals in natural outdoor settings. I especially loved the picture of the stacked bunny family, which is also on the back cover. Although I am ten and a quarter, I really enjoyed reading it, and it made me feel happy and peaceful.

I think it’s a must-read for all families, especially with everything going on in the world. I’m elated to have it on my bookshelf and share it with the little kids I know.
