Uh-Oh Octopus!
Octopus likes his home. But, one day, when he comes back from his daily swim, he finds a big tail blocking his doorway. He has a big problem and doesn’t know what to do. So, Octopus tells his problem to his sea friends, but they aren’t very helpful. Octopus doesn’t like their ideas; like Hermit Crab, who tells him to find another place to live because, “The sea is filled with other opportunities.” Finally, the sea asks Octopus, “What would you do?” Octopus says that he would politely ask the tail to leave. So, when Octopus knocks on the tail, all he hears is, “Help me!” When Octopus and his friends help pull on the tail, Octopus is surprised to find out that the tail is a mermaid.
I like this story because Octopus is so cute. The pictures are colorful. There are also a lot of different sea animals, like a lionfish, a fire fish, a lantern fish, and a pajama fish. My favorite parts of the story are when Octopus politely knocks on the tail and it calls out, “Help,” and when he finds out that the tail is actually a mermaid. I recommend this book!
