Turning Back to Allah: Sulaiman’s Caving Calamity
Sulaiman is readier than ever for his Scout troop’s caving trip. But soon after he finally enters the cave with his troop, he becomes distracted and gets lost. He mentions all his good deeds to Allah, the Muslim God, in the hope that Allah will show mercy toward him. Fortunately, Sulaiman’s prayers are answered and he is found.
The author’s descriptive writing, including the realistic and entertaining dialogue, keeps the reader engaged, in addition to the bright and vivid illustrations. At times, I would be cracking up, while at others, I would feel sympathy for Sulaiman. The moral of the story is to never lose faith and hope, which is a message that the author delivered very well.
For readers aged seven years and up who are looking for an awesome, fun, and adventurous book, this is the one for you. The book would also be great when read aloud.
