Trunk to Trunklet

This book is about family animals – how the animals love their children. The elephant likes to play hide-and-seek and touches her baby’s trunklet with her trunk. The monkey swings through branch to branch while she is carrying her babies on her back – and they cover her eyes because they are afraid she will fall! The baby tiger is crying a lot, but the mother knows his baby fangs cannot bite yet. I like this book because it is interesting and nice to read. It is fun and I like the pictures. It is a pretty short book. It is all written as a poem, and there is a little poem for each animal. It makes me think about family and how mothers love their babies. It is not very colorful – the animals are black and white with just a few other colors. But the pictures are so nice and all the animals look very happy and like they all love each other. My favorite picture is the seal, which is so so cute. I love looking at this book and reading it with my family.
