Triangles
This book is all about triangles. I learned a lot of new words and learned about different types of triangles. All triangles have three sides, three angles, and three vertices. This book taught me that angles have names. There are three letters that name the angle and the middle letter is always the vertex. I also learned about different types of angles. The types of angles are acute, obtuse, straight, and reflex. I liked looking at all of the pictures that show the different angles. The different shaped triangles also have names. The names are; acute, right, equilateral, isosceles, and scalene. I made an isosceles triangle with my connecting toys. I also learned that if two triangles are the same shape and same size they are called congruent and triangles with the same shape but different sizes are similar. I learned a lot from this book. My mom read this book to me since it had so many new words. I think kids who like to learn about new things would really like this book! The pictures are fun to look at too.
