Too Many Pigs in the Pool is the story of a man named Mr. Jenkins, who has a neighbor named Ms. Peal, who has a pet pig named Percy. Mr. Jenkins sometimes gets lonely and wishes someone could enjoy his pool with him, so he invites Ms. Peal and Percy over for a swim and to play some fun Marco Polo. The next day, Mr. Jenkins notices another pig in the pool, then the next day and the day after that he keeps finding more pigs in his pool! How will Mr. Jenkins get the pigs out of his pool before they become too many?

Too Many Pigs in the Pool is a funny book, partly because who has seen pigs swimming and playing in a swimming pool before?! Mr. Jenkins is pretty nice about it; I don’t know if I would have kept letting more pigs in my pool every day. I liked that I heard a good story, as well as practiced some math and my days of the week. My mom says this is a good thing during the summer. Kids of all ages will enjoy Too Many Pigs in the Pool.
