TodHunter Moon, Book Two: SandRider (World of Septimus Heap)
TodHunter Moon is trying to deal with a little girl called Kaznim, who comes from a desert where the Orm Egg is being kept, although no one at the Castle knows this. Tod is left in charge of the girl, and blames herself completely when Kaznim runs away. So Tod and her friends are led on a crazy chase to try to reach the Orm Egg before Oraton-Marr, the evil sorcerer, can imprint the Orm and become the most powerful wizard ever.
This book was very captivating and fun to read. I like the suspense and the action. This book makes you feel as if you are in the story watching it happen. My favorite part of this book was when Oskar, one of Tod’s friends, tries to make the Orm imprint on him, but only succeeds in causing the Orm to imprint on the Castle’s dragon. It was very funny to think of Oskar running across the desert sands, trying to catch the Orm. One of the scariest parts is when Tod and her friends are captured by witches, and are going to be burned.
