Description
Toad on the Go is an early-reader story and the sequel to the award-winning book Towed by Toad by Jashar Awan. Toad on the Go follows Toad, a likeable guy who loves his job as a tow truck driver, helping others after they’ve made a mistake with their driving; however, Toad ends up finding himself in his customers’ position when he makes a mistake, and he realizes that it isn’t much fun to be on the other side of his tow truck. Toad learns how to get past that situation and the feelings that accompany it, and he realizes that things happen to anyone and everyone.
Toad on the Go is a good reading choice for early readers because there are minimal words on each page, so if they are trying to read independently, they can focus on select words, and if they are being read to, they can practice comprehending a story that’s not too complex, and the subject matter is relevant to all readers. The characters contain different animals, and the illustrations are bright and cheerful.
