Titans
This is the first book in a new series that follows the Pegasus series. It is about Astraea, a Titan who is starting a new school called Arcadia. Her best friend is a winged horse named Zephyr. They find a human boy named Jake. This is a big deal because there aren’t supposed to be any humans on Titus. Astraea and Zephyr hide Jake in the labyrinth beneath Arcadia 2. In the labyrinth, Jake finds a rainbow snake named Nesso who bites him, and suddenly he can understand her.
The friends discover a plot to replace important Olympian and Titan rulers with strange creatures they call Mimics. Will they defeat this strange new race before it’s too late? And will they be able to figure out the human’s role in this nefarious plot and return them safely home?
Titans is an exciting start to a new series, and it is easy to get swept up in the adventure. There are some disturbing parts in the story, so this book is not the best choice for younger readers. However, for older and more mature readers, this book is a great choice. I am eagerly awaiting the second book in this series!
