Time Zero
Time Zero
Mina has finally turned fifteen. Now she is old enough to get married in her future Manhattan town. Here, rules are very strict though. Girls are forbidden to get an education, their marriages are arranged by contract and they may not speak to men unless they are spoken to first. Although it could cost them their life, Mina’s grandmother has been teaching her to read. As she grows older, Mina is learning to rebel against what’s wrong. This path is leading her through romance and danger that could not only threaten her family’s reputation but could get Mina and her friends killed.
I really enjoyed this book. The religion that governs the city in this book is fictional but is a combination of a bunch of different religions from around the world. I think it was interesting to learn more about the world and other religions. I would give this book four and a half stars. This book will suck you in but it does include sexual references. Time Zero is a great read for both adult and young adult readers!
