Time Shifters
This is a graphic novel. I really enjoyed the humor in this book! There are a lot of funny parts, like when the bugs want Luke to marry their daughter, but he does not want to marry anyone, especially a bug! Gross!
A couple of weeks after his brother dies, Luke sees a blue glow in the woods behind his house. When he investigates, Luke finds a vampire, a skeleton in a pressurized space suit, and a mummy (bad guys!). The vampire is wearing pirate clothes, and they call him Vampire Napoleon.
Luke finds a strange device on the ground. When he pushes the red button, a group of people come riding up on a dinosaur, and Luke rides away with them. He finds himself in an alternate dimension!
As Luke and his new friends battle the bad guys, they try to figure out a way to keep the device away from them as well as how to get back to their actual reality.
This story is nothing like anything I have read before. It is unique, creative, interesting, and suspenseful. I also like how the characters are drawn with lots of expression – it adds to the story!
