The kids, Tommy and Tallulah, want to fly a kite. The mother chicken needs them to watch her chicks. She’s sick. There are three friends who want to fly kites too. Battersby wants all four kites to fly at the same time. The twins’ kite falls down. The chicks take Battersby’s checklist into the air. (Battersby is a bat. Why couldn’t he just fly up for it?) Pufferty comes. He will help them fly their kites. They tie the kites to him, and he goes fast, and the kites go up. The chicks peck the string, and the twins’ kite goes away. Tommy and Tallulah get their kite back. The chicks are in McCoggin’s kite. He can’t get the kite down, because his control is broken. It’s almost Chime Time. What will the friends do? Read the book to find out. I can’t read this book myself without crying, because this book is so bad. The pictures are not impressing me very much. The story is okay. Maybe babies will like this book. If this book is a TV show, I would only watch it once.
