This is THE Day!

Some days good things happen to you, and some days not so good things happen to you. This book reminds you that no matter how you feel or what happens to you, you still have today, and you can make it turn out to be a good day or a pretty good day. The book is based on a verse from the Psalms (in the Bible) that says, “This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

I like This is the Day by Amy Parker because I like the story and the message. The drawings are simple and fun and help me understand how some things can be bad. Although it is based on a Bible verse and mentions God, even if you don’t really believe you can enjoy this book.

This book is probably best for moms or dads to read to their kids. It’s not an easy reader or early reader book but more of a picture book. It would be good for boys and girls three to five years old.
