This Is Not a Normal Animal Book

This book is funny and awesome. It starts out saying you should learn about different animals in different categories. Then it gets weird because it makes you think about things that really couldn’t happen, like going from a cat, to a hen, to a frog, to a bee–and then it goes to a blobfish! What’s really funny is, when it talks about the blobfish, it drops a blob of jelly on the page! Then it shows a real picture of a blobfish–which it says will never get out of your head (which is probably true!). It doesn’t tell you much about the animals, but you think about them in a funny way, and it talks about animals you wouldn’t think about at first. The pictures are extremely funny, and it is fun that the author is talking to you and talking to the illustrator, too; the front of the book tells you that it is really the illustrator who is in charge, even though what the author says makes the illustrator change the pictures, and that changes the story! If you want to read a different kind of animal book, this funny book is for you!
