In this book, you get to join seven children from all around the world as they do the things they do every day. You get to see the beds they sleep in, how they get to school, and what kind of school they go to. You find out what they play with their friends, what they eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the house they live in. You meet their family, find out how old they are, and see what they wear. You find out lots of interesting things, like how late some people eat dinner. In Uganda, the family eats at ten o’clock at night – that’s when I’m supposed to be in bed! Some of the things are pretty different, like how in Japan all the schoolchildren wear white slippers when they are in the school, or how in Peru they eat fried rice with chicken for breakfast; but some things are the same, like the children like to play games like tag or spend time with their families, just like I do. I thought it was interesting to find out how people live all over the world and what they do. You will think so, too!
