This Book Is Not a Present

This book is given as a present to a kid who doesn’t want a book. The kid thinks books are not presents. You can give someone a dog or a skateboard, those are great presents. But a book is not a present because then you have to read the book. And no one wants to read a book!

This book is very silly! I like the part about the chapter book and thought that was funny. If the kid hates reading a picture book, then they would really hate a chapter book as a present. There are probably some kids who don’t like to read or don’t like books and would rather get a skateboard or a dog as a present. But maybe after reading this book, those kids will change their minds and see how great books can be. I recommend this book to kids who like funny and silly picture books.
