There’s a Dragon in My Dinner
There’s a Dragon in My Dinner is the first book of a series of books about a mini-dragon turning up in places where he doesn’t belong. A boy named Eric gets a delivery of take-out food from a Chinese restaurant. Inside one of the take-out boxes is a mini-dragon. Eric finds out that dragons, even very small ones, do not make good pets. He gets in a lot of trouble, and Pan, the dragon, almost ruins his birthday. But the dragon also teaches Eric about the importance of friendship (not only with dragons but also with other kids, too). With the help of his friends Min and Jayden, Eric rescues the dragon from another boy who only wants to put the dragon in his collection of toys. At the very end of the book is a mini-dragon cookbook with funny recipes like “Pan’s Famous Roasted Goat.” I hope there are lots more books in the series, because this was really fun to read, and I think any kid will like it.
