There Is a Crocodile Under My Bed!
In this story, a girl named Sophie notices Carl the crocodile under her bed right away when she comes into her bedroom. Sophie is not scared of him at all, even though Carl tries to hide on her dresser. After Sophie dares Carl to jump through a hula-hoop, they do more tricks until they are out of breath. Sophie tells Carl to stay awake because she’s hungry. So he flips a thousand pancakes. Then Carl has an idea. He shows Sophie how to make a crocodile egg carton. Carl is covered in flour and glue, so Sophie makes him take a bath. At the end, Sophie wants Carl to tell her stories until she falls asleep.
I love this story a lot, because Sophie’s not afraid of scary things. She even carries around a scary-looking doll. There are a lot of funny pictures, too. My favorite pictures are when Carl flips a thousand pancakes that Sophie catches, and when he takes a bath. The crocodile is absolutely hilarious! I also like the crocodile egg carton. It looks like a fun craft. I definitely would recommend this story to all of my friends.
